When Hayden's Mom asked me if I would do these, she warned me he was none too fond of the idea.
So I was super nervous. I didn't want him to do anything he wasn't comfortable with and I made sure this was the shortest photo shoot I have EVER done!

He ended up rocking the session out. I would like to think we had fun. :) ...

He's a teenager.... so I'll never know. ;)

This last one is my favorite, and what happened inside that chest stays inside that chest. ;)

The timing worked out perfect for this get together because later that Saturday night my little Lolo started to cough. Yep, she's sick. Again. Grrr.

So I don't know when I'll get to see my darling niece again, but these pictures will have to tide me over until then.

(It reminds me of a hair competition I entered once while in Long Beach California. I came in 12th, but was so excited because it was an international competition and there were like 300 people in it... I think? Some big number like that. But telling someone you got 12th place doesn't really get a big response. ;) ;) ;)

Ah well, thank you, thank you, thank you, if you voted for me. It made my day! :D

I'm also so excited because my hubby got me a new camera and lens this weekend!! Wa-hoo! I've been coveting it for soooo long that now that I have it I still haven't taken one picture. It's like in a mini museum in my office and I don't dare get in there and work it. Silly I know... I'm such a weirdo. So I'm hoping that tonight after work I dare get the thing out and get to work.

These two were so much fun!They kept kidding around that this was Aariel's photoshoot and Kristofor was her prop.

This family is awesome!I was so glad to get to do their pictures, mostly because they've moved and I don't see them anymore. ;)
(Oh and they are stellar at posing, I'm telling you they made my job so easy.)

This is Braxton, he pretty much rocks.

They came down Peach Days weekend and since the town wascrazy busy they agreed to stay close to home. :)
See? Awesome I tell ya!

And this is Miss J!She was so friggin adorable I just about couldn't stand it.
Seriously.

So was SOOOOO good, I mean I WISH so badly that my little one wouldsmile for the camera like she did!
Those kids were perfect little angels!

Sylvie is just 2 weeks old! Can you believe it?She is so aware for a newborn, and her eyes don't have that hazy look to them at all.
She is so beautiful! No words for this girl, just pictures.

We were hoping to get some sleepy newborn pictures, but this girl wasn't having it and it didn't matter because she was still so mellow AND I fell in love with those eyes!
I'm glad she was awake!

Oh how I wish I could take credit for styling these shots!But Sylvie's mom and grandma had all these cute props in their home and I just came over on my lunch break.

But no worries I've been scouring the internet ever since trying to find similar items to ad to my collection. :)

This one is my absolute favorite, she looks so chill and just happy to be there.
I think we just may have a model on our hands!!

Here in Utah our beaches are limited, so this shot is from Bear Lake about a week ago. :)
I had this grand idea to take a fun picture of the cousins all sitting in the canoe, so I set it up all cute and everything and lined them up. Well they weren't having it at all. So I gave up and a few minutes later I saw them all doing their own thing and decided it would make a much more fun shot anyway!
Gotta love accidental great shots!

I've been so excited to post these but I decided to only post

about half! WHY?!!

Am I crazy?

This photo shoot was so fun!It helps that these cats just happen to be some of my favorite people.

We can thank my husband (and his incessant need to keep boating) for choosing this location.(he talked them into it.)We were supposed to be on the other side of the mountain - even though the light disappeared extremely fast, we just fell in love with the soft light and colors.

Did I mention he loves his Mama?Oh yes, I did... but more proof is so lovely!

with a camera! My friend Becky was in town and asked if I would like to go along with her to shoot. She is taking a Visual Journey all over the world. :) I COULD NOT WAIT. I was like a kid in a candy store. Taking pictures just for the fun of it?! No pressure to get a smile outta my kids? Just me and my camera and another adult? Wow. Fun. Loved it. She also dug up a little info on the place...

Built in 1909, the much-graffitied skeletal remains of the Ogden Portland Cement Co. plant still stand, adjacent to Interstate Highway 15.

Holiday Special Section

Hey all! I have seriously neglected this blog. I am debating joining this blog up with my family blog.. that way I'm blogging more often... ;) Well I've had my little hands full with work lately and my creative juices are getting all sucked up there. So I thought I would share the Holiday Special Section cover I just did. I'm pretty pumped about it because I was finally brave enough to photograph my own cover. :) This is Chelsey, isn't she beautiful?! AND you would never guess from the pic she is pregnant! She was nice enough to agree to be my model in a half hours notice. And Hallmark was nice enough to lend us the ornaments. I won't spoil all the goodies, it's a pretty nifty little tab. So by yourself a Box Elder News Journal and you'll find one of these babies inside!

You may have noticed some pretty obvious photoshop action here, but I've learned over the years what I have to do to get a cover to print well. :) It's just lately I have learned how to get things to look good on newsprint. :) It's so frustrating having something look good on your screen and come out less than perfect when printed. My designing buddies hear me, eh?!

This logo was the winner! All my logo's are vector images, so you can blow them up as big as you want and not lose any resolution.

This is the first logo approved for Jensen Tax. This is actually my Dad's business, so if anyone needs their taxes done, he's your man!! Anyway, even though he this was his original pick he changed his mind. He is a perfectionist and decided that this wasn't exactly what he wanted and I'm in the business of giving people exactly what they want. So we scrapped this and started over. I'll post the winning logo on my next post.

These are the first 4 business cards I came up for him. They were all scrapped in the end, but I still love the design involved.
